چکیده

An error in this essay (Cell 103[6], 829–833) is corrected here: Due to an error that occurred after submission of the original text, the department in which Arvid Carlsson worked in Göteborg was inadvertently called Clinical Pharmacology rather than Pharmacology. The correct wording of the sentence should be: “In 1959, Carlsson moved to the University of Göteborg in Sweden where he served as Professor of Pharmacology.”

Changes of the brain’s bioelectrical activity in cognition, consciousness, and some mental disorders

Background: An electroencephalogram (EEG) is an accepted method in neurophysiology with a wide application. Different types of brain rhythms indicate that simultaneous activity of the brain cortex neurons depend on the person’s mental state. Method: we have focus on reviewing the existing literature pertaining to changes of the brain’s bioelectrical activity that recorded from the ...

Transcranial near-infrared phtobiomodulation causes anti-depressive and anti- anxiety effects in mice model of depression

Introduction: Depression is a common psychiatric disorder and about one in five people experience depression during their lifespan. Despite the anti-depressive effects of drug therapy, problems such as non-targeting and dose-resistant lead to more effective approaches. Transcranial Photobiomodulation (TPBM) or transcranial low-level laser (TLLL) therapy is a novel and neuropro...

Evaluating the Expression of NOX2 and NOX4 Signaling Pathways in Rats’ Lung Tissues Following Local Chest Irradiation; Modulatory Effect of Melatonin

Lung injury is one of the major concerns for chest cancer patients that undergo radiotherapy as well as persons exposed to an accidental radiological event. Reduction/oxidation (redox) system plays a key role in lung injury via chronic upregulation of pro-oxidant enzymes. NOX2 and NOX4 are two important reactive oxygen species generating enzymes that are involved in radiation toxicity in some o...
